About Sandra

Sandra Taylor (She/Her)
Sandra’s career has spanned over 25 years of working with individuals, families and couples within Vancouver’s counselling community. Sandra’s work is trauma-informed, attachment and strength-based. She integrates a holistic approach into her work and is continually eager for opportunities to grow professionally and personally.

Sandra has a long history of working in the social profit (formerly called non-profit) sector of Vancouver as a community counsellor specializing in addiction, family strengthening, and couples counselling. This work includes developing and delivering unique prevention programming to youth in Vancouver elementary schools.

Her recent work experience led her to develop a new reintegration program in a woman's federal prison. In this role, she provided therapeutic sessions with both individuals, their families and their support networks, to help prepare them for re-entry to the community.

Sandra’s strength is building trusting and respectful therapeutic relationships with the people she supports. Sandra’s personal growth has taken her on an exploration of mindfulness, meditation and taking the time to pause, listen and pay attention to the present. She loves to carry the wisdom and traditions of the grandmothers of her family, taking time to garden, cook, and welcome all family and friends to the table.
